Today we're looking at a simple yet effective water technique by Marcel V. on Flickr. He predominately uses transparent plates but below them uses coloured plates that can be seen through the transparent ones. This creates the illusion of depth and prevents the water from just being a cloudy white colour. He finishes off the water with various pieces such as 2x2 round tiles for snow or leaves and sticks, which add the extra bit of detail.
